The upper Mad River Trail begins at Maverick Saddle and ends at the junction of Trail #1429 and Trail #1408. The upper Mad River has a seasonal closure in place. This trail is closed to stock, mountain bikes and motorcycles until posted. The trail will be posted open when the snow melts and the trail dries. This date varies from year to year.
